Van and Diver Hire

Do you have a number of small parcels or is it too big for the car? For larger / multiple packages we now offer a van and driver service that can now be used for hire in and around St Andrews and for longer trips to Ikea and the South!

Van and Driver Only - Minimum Hire 2 Hours £25.00 per hour

£25.00 per hour 25 pence per mile - first 50 miles include in initial hire. Charged from when the van leaves our base until when it will arrive back.

Working method

Customers should be packed-up and ready when our van arrives. You, or you and your friends take your goods to the van. The driver will be inside the van and he will secure your goods ready for the journey.

There is room for two passengers in the van.

This is the most popular and cost effective service we provide and is the cheapest and fastest way to move. Customers save on the cost of a conventional removal.

Student Removals

To ensure that you get your move done economically it is important to ensure your goods are packed and ready to go, and if you have booked the Van and Driver service, that you and your friends are ready to take your goods to the van when it arrives. The whole idea is to do your job as fast as possible

Our Van and Driver Only Service is the cheapest way to move, be it a local St Andrews area or a move out of town. This means that you and your friends take your own goods to and from the van. The driver will ensure that the goods are secured properly in the van and as an added bonus is there is no extra charge for moving two peoples stuff and making extra stops on the same booking – subject to the time and mileage restrictions as detailed above / below.

Van and Working Driver - Minimum Hire 2 Hours £30.00 per hour

£30.00 per hour 25 pence per mile - first 50 miles include in initial hire. Charged from when the van leaves our base until when it will arrive back. This service is for customers who do not wish to take their own goods to and from the van or customers who require someone to work with them.

Working method:

Customers should be packed-up and ready when our van arrives. The customer directs the Working Driver or works with him. With this configuration there is the advantage of not having to pay for a full working crew.

There is room for two passengers in the van.

Business Customers

Many small businesses find it cost effective to use our service. If your business does not warrant keeping and maintaining a vehicle full time or your existing facilities are overloaded, then our Van Hire is a solution to your occasional deliver and collection requirements.

Just call us and we turn up on time and move your goods as directed by you.

Other Important Information
Please inform us of any unusual situations for example:

• Parking problems
• Access problems with getting your goods in or out of your property
• Having to use an external fire escape
• Spiral staircases
• there is a £10 per floor loading where goods have to be carried up or down stairs.
• We work Day, Evenings and Weekends. For pickups after 7pm there is a one-off Out of Hours charge of £10
• Sunday / Bank Holiday? There is a one-off Out of Hours Charge of £10
• Please provide a list of all your goods where possible.

Our Location

We are located in the heart of St Andrews

Bridge Tolls / Congestion Charge Area

Where a van enters a congestion charge area as part of a job the charge will be passed on.

Packaging

Packing Materials: We do not sell or supply packing materials, however most self storage sites sell box's, tape and bubble wrap.

Not covered above?

For larger Jobs and jobs where there are heavy items to be moved or where the access is difficult you will need extra labour. Please telephone for the cost.

Should you need additional assistance - 2 men, a crew - 3 men and over, or there are large heavy items to move please contact us for pricing information.

For overnight journeys or trips longer than 8 hours - including return to base please contact us for an individual quotation.
